On Wednesday, 17 September, the University of Zielona Góra welcomed a delegation from Chongqing Normal University (China). The delegation included Prof. Xiaojun Meng, Vice President, Prof. Xingong Zhang, and Prof. Wenmeng Zhang.

The guests were received by Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, DSc, Eng., Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation. Representatives of the Institute of Mathematics, the Institute of Physics, and the Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences also took part in the meeting.

The University of Zielona Góra has been cooperating with Chongqing Normal University for over ten years. During this time, nearly 130 Chinese students have participated in semester-long study programs in Zielona Góra. Both institutions continue to develop cooperation in the areas of:

• student exchange,

• double degree programmes,

• joint research projects, conferences, and scientific publications.

The meeting focused on the further development of the partnership and the expansion of cooperation into new areas. The delegates emphasized that Chinese students highly value the quality of education in Poland.

The visit marked another important step in strengthening the long-standing and friendly relations between the University of Zielona Góra and Chongqing Normal University.
