The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra has become a partner institution in the project “Development, education and practical improvement in the field of multifaceted problems of designing and manufacturing products for industrial and biomedical purposes” with the acronym INTEGRATION, which is located in the just published winning list of beneficiaries of the program CEEPUS for the academic year 2023/2024. The partner network consists of 29 entities, including 7 from Poland and 22 from the following 13 countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary.

INTEGRATION as the main slogan of the Project will be carried out in five independent planes synergistically related to each other, including: [1] the scientific disciplines; [2] countries participating in the project; [3] scientific research, education, dissemination of research results and popularisation of science and science schools; [4] cooperation of partner institutions constituting the Universities with industrial entities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs); [5] substantive goals, taking into account the sustainable development idea and the concept of Industry 4.0.

As part of the project, it is planned to organize the International Conference "Achievements in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering for General, Dental and Medical Applications” AMME-bio INTEGRATION. Researchers representing partner institutions are invited to publish articles in the English-language journals indexed in the SCOPUS database entitled “Journal of Achievements in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering” JAMME and "Archives of Materials Science and Engineering" AMSE as well as chapters in two American books (NOVA Science Publishers, NY, USA) on engineering materials and laser technology, respectively. The project also includes international exchange of academic teachers, PhD students and students.
