Tasks and duties: 

• Making decision on property and economy matter within the scope of the ordinary management in the department;
• Supervision over the funds spending within the budget of the subordinate departments;
• Preparation of material and financial plans of the department and reports on their implementation
• Shaping the University's scientific policy aiming at raising the level and quality of its scientific and didactic activity;
• Coordination of preparation of applications for research and equipment investment co-financing from the funds of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and other national institutions as well as for international scientific and research programmes;
• Supervision over reports on scientific and research projects financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Science Centre, the National Centre for Research and Development and other national institutions as well as international scientific and research programmes;
• Substantive supervision over the promotional activities of the University's scientific and research achievements;
• Supervision over the organization of conferences and scientific symposia organized at the University;
• Supervision over the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme at the university;
• Supervision over formal and administrative services for abroad trips of employees of the University/arrivals of official guests of the University;
• Supervision over the substantive side of cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign scientific and research units;
• Representing the University in activities related to the public procurement contracts in accordance with Article 44 of the Public Finance Act;
• Supervision over the implementation of amendments to the Law on Higher Education Act and Act on Academic Degrees and Titles as well as degrees and titles in the field of art" and other regulations of the Minister of Science and Higher Education
• Representing the University in all activities related to public procurement procedures of estimated value up to EUR 80,000 net carried out by subordinate Executors and approving the decisions taken in the course of awarding these contracts;
• Concluding sponsorship agreements;
• Signing diplomas of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of and Biological Sciences Faculty and Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Enviromental Engineering.
