On Friday (21 June 2024), a meeting was held at the LUMEL company between students and graduates of the Indian second-cycle English-language degree programme 'Production Management and Engineering' at the University of Zielona Góra with Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, PhD, Deputy Rector for Coopetation with the Economy, Mr Dinesh Musalekar, President of LUMEL, and lecturers from the ZiIP course. The aim of the meeting was to present the effects of the completed first full cycle of training in the course and to welcome another group of students from India to Zielona Góra.

This is the second edition of an educational project, carried out through the collaboration of UZ and Lumel, supporting education and the practical acquisition of knowledge in the field of production engineering. During the visit, Dr Małgorzata Śliwa gave a presentation on the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, describing the academic programmes, courses, thesis topics and research areas. During the discussion, Mr Patil Gauravkumar - a ZiIP graduate - told about the acceptance for publication of an article in a scientific journal based on his master's thesis. At the end of the meeting, Professor Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska and the President of LUMEL emphasised the importance of continuous learning and its impact on career success and gave advice on key success factors.
