he 5th International Conference “Intelligent Systems in Production Engineering and Maintenance (ISPEM 2025)” was held on June 25–27 in Building H-14 of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, bringing together over 200 participants from Poland and abroad.
The event attracted researchers, engineers, PhD students, and industry representatives interested in the latest trends in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and Industry 4.0.
A highlight of the program was the International Scientific Debate titled “The Rise of AI in the Manufacturing Industry.” Experts from around the world discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on innovation, productivity, workforce transformation, and the ethical challenges related to its implementation. Among those sharing their expertise was Prof. Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation at the University of Zielona Góra. Speakers also included Prof. M. Anthony Xavior from Vellore Institute of Technology (India).

ISPEM 2025 also served as a platform for strengthening international cooperation – an agreement was signed between Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep in Bangkok, covering student and academic staff exchanges.
